Popcorn is also available as an app for Android phones: Today, This week, projects, reminders and a home screen widget. For testing, you download it directly from us; it will come to the Play Store later.

How to install the APK

  1. Download the APK on your phone and tap it in the download notification or under “Files” → “Downloads”.
  2. Android asks whether your browser (or the “Files” app) may install apps: tap “Settings” and turn on “Allow from this source”. From Android 8 on, this only applies to that one app; you can turn it off again afterwards.
  3. Go back and tap “Install”. If Google Play Protect warns because the app isn't in the Play Store yet: “More details” → “Install anyway”.
  4. Open Popcorn and sign in with Google, Microsoft or your email address – with the same account as on your computer.

You install a new version the same way, over the old one; your data stays.

This test build is still signed with a temporary key. Once the final key is in place, you'll need to uninstall and reinstall the app once; let it sync while online first so your tasks are on the server.
